anationwideefforttoincreasetheuseofhomefiresprinklersthroughthe

adoptionofsprinklerrequirementsinnewone-andtwo-familyhomes.

FundsfromtheFEMAgrantwillgreatlyexpandthereachofinformationonthe

life-savingbenefitsofsprinklersandresourcesavailableforpeopleinterested

inadoptingtheuseofsprinklersintheircommunity.TheFireSprinkler

InitiativeWebsitewillbeenhancedtofeatureaspecialtoolkitcontaining

mediamaterials,factsheets,andothercontenttosupportsprinkleradvocacy

atthelocallevel.Othercampaigninitiativesincludepaidadvertisementsin

traditionalmedia;socialmediacomponents,suchasaYouTubevideocampaign

featuringactualfirevictims;andasocialmediaoutreach.

NFPAwillalsohostrepresentativesfromeachstateforatrainingmeeting,

whichwillincludepublicsafetyeducators,fireofficials,andbuilding

officials,amongothers.
